The Costa Rican band Colornoise has returned with the new single called “She Was Machine”. Stream the song just above and get a preview of the ladies’ forthcoming third album which is due in the second half of 2016.
Since the incursion of MaRi Navarro a year ago, the sound of the Costa Rican power-trio gave an appealing twist to the project, to the point that their previous work “Amalie” was selected as one of the best singles of 2015 by media as “National Public Radio” (NPR), Claro Music Latin America and the local prestigious music blog, 89decibeles.
Unlike Amalie “the intention of this new single is much more direct and raw. The band spent several days experimenting with new textures and layers of low riffs with and expansive “punch” drums. Very influenced by Pj Harvey’s 90’s post punk era. It was an evolutionary process for us and it is a foretaste of the sound we seek for this new material.” – Sonya Carmona
