The Skinny: The Dandy Warhols have shared a new track – “Catcher In The Rye” – off their upcoming new album Distortland which is due April 8th via Dine Alone Records. The Dandy Warhols have also confirmed a tour in support of Distortland. The dates kick off April 1 in Salt Lake City and include two nights at The Bowery Ballroom in New York City (April 12 and 13), DC, Boston and more. Distortland was first recorded in Courtney Taylor-Taylor’s (vocals, guitar) basement on an ’80s cassette recorder with the band putting on the finishing touches in a studio. Jim Lowe – best known for his work with Taylor Swift and Beyonce – mixed the album. Courtney notes that the end result is an album that is “organized like a pop record but still has the sonic garbage still in there.”
