Released on November 21, 2014, the 5-song EP, Break The Distance, marks the debut offering from Montreal, QC-based alternative rock band, The Alibi. Recorded at Montreal’s Silver Wings Studios, the release is a mixture of alternative and progressive rock with melodic, alt-metal. Confused? Think Evanescence. The Alibi are currently doing whatever they can to push themselves and their music forward by both booking shows and writing new music. While the group was initially conceived during the Summer of 2011, it wasn’t until the Summer of 2014, after several line-up changes and the introduction of new lead vocalist Nicole Gibson, that the group became complete. It was at this point, once the group’s chemistry hit a new level, that they would record Break The Distance.
