Nina “The Cuntess” Pain is the vocalist for UK death metal band Daemona. The band recently released a brand new single called “The Demon Inside” which showcases some awesome old-school death metal with a modern touch. Nina took time out of her busy schedule to chat with us about her tattoos. Read on and then visit then band’s Bandcamp to check out their tunes!

When, where and what was your first tattoo?
Nina: My first tattoo is a tattoo I’m currently in the process of getting removed. Doesn’t mean anything, was just a tattoo I wanted for the sake of it. It’s a little tribal pattern sitting on my right arm.Currently on my 9th session.

Do any of your tattoos have a particularly special meaning behind them? If so, do share man!
Nina: The rest of my tattoos (two) have a special meaning to me. One is a life motto “Stay with the fight” and another one is the seal of Lucifer.

Do you have a specific shop or artist that you frequent (insert shameless plug time!)?
Nina: I use the amazing Sam Rivers @Curiousities Tattoo Studio in Ipswich – UK. He’s an amazing and very talented guy as well as a great friend of mine and a member of one of my old bands.

Do you have any tattoos that you now hate, want to replace, or have covered up, and why?
Nina: My first tattoo has no meaning so I’m in the process of getting it removed. Not sure if I’ll go for a cover up or not but if I do, it’ll be a forest themed concept….

Have any tattoos that were painful. Like made you cry, see white light, and regret being born?
Nina: They are painful but it’s a nice pain… you always want more once you walk out of the tattoo studio. Haha.

If you HAD to get someone’s face tattooed on you, who’s would it be and why?
Nina: My own. Because I’m fucking wonderful, right?
