The Skinny: The PureGrainAudio premieres continue with our first listen to the new song “When We Were Young” by Brooklyn-based rock quartet The Energy! The track is the debut single and title track from then group’s forthcoming full-length, When We Were Young, which is due out in early 2016. According to the guys, the song “tells the story of looking back at our lives and realizing how much less powerful and in control we are when we are just kids. At the same time, things seemed simpler and less confusing.”
This energetic (pun intended) foursome have now been together for nearly a decade and in that time have released four studio albums, not to mention a big focus on sync licensing which has landed their music on NBC, Netflix, A&E, ESPN and more. Stay tuned for MUCH more from a rock band who show no signs of relenting their pursuit for global recognition anytime soon.
