The Skinny: Los Angeles-based alt-rock band, Story’s End, have released the title track from their sophomore EP, Turning Point. The record is set for release in early 2016 and features five new offerings from the modern rock trio. Recorded during the winter of 2014, the album was engineered, mixed and mastered alongside Daryl Phenneger (Red Jumpsuit Apparatus) in Jacksonville, FL.
Comprised of Michael Folds (vocals/guitar), Dan Lacey (bass/vocals) and Troy Wickliffe (drums), Story’s End was formed in 2011 after the trio met working together at a golf club in Orlando, FL. Following a casual jam session, they decided to pursue the act and released their eponymous debut EP in early 2012, which was also engineered by Phenneger. Story’s End went on to perform across a number of well-known stages across Florida, including five appearances at House of Blues Orlando. Since their move to Los Angeles, the band has notched live gigs at The Viper Room, as well as the USC Festival Stage at the 2015 Special Olympics World Games. The release of “Turning Point” hints at a hard-hitting follow-up effort to Story’s End’s first recordings.
