All you sinners stand up, sing hallelujah,” because Panic! At The Disco just released a new album and it’s brilliant!!

Nearly two years after releasing Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die, P!ATD unveiled their fifth studio album Death of a Bachelor, which was composed and recorded by lead vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Brendon Urie, among external writers. This release skyrocketed to the number one position on iTunes within just 24 hours of being made available.

Of the eleven songs on the album, six were released before the LP, including the tittle track as well as “Hallelujah,” “Victorious,” “Emperor’s New Clothes,” “LA Devotee” and “Don’t Threaten Me with a Good Time”. Urie has said that Death of a Bacheloris in honor of those times I spent alone as a kid. Allowing music to consume me. Playing everything myself just to get the idea right and out of my head. It’s a beginning to a new era. And an homage to how it all began.”

The album is a mix of Queen and Frank Sinatra, which is a perfect combination to match Brendon Urie’s astounding voice. His vocal range shines like never before.  On tracks like “Death of a Bachelor” and “Crazy = Genius, the Sinatra influences are prevalent and the same goes for Queen on songs like “LA Devotee.

In typical Panic! style, a lot of the album’s lyrics are up for interpretation.  But the vocals and upbeat music are so compelling that it truly doesn’t matter.

Panic! introduced epic videos for “Hallelujah”, “Victorious”, and “Emporer’s New Clothes”, all of which went viral due to their dramatics, high quality production, and visual appeal.  Let’s face it, no one rocks a cranberry red suit quite like Brendon Urie.

Overall, the album is classic Panic! that any new or pre-existing fan would love. Every song is a knock out.

Be sure to catch Panic! at the Disco when the band hits the road this summer for a 40+ city tour in support of Death of a Bachelor, and will be co-headlining with veteran band Weezer.
