On November 27th the Trondheim, Norway noise rock duo, Barren Womb (which consists of Timo Silvola and Tony Gonzahl), are set to release their sophomore album, Nique Everything, via Seattle-based indie label Spartan Records. Not ones to keep people in suspense for too long, today we have the pleasure of offering a free download of the new track “White Raven.”
A twosome who don’t stick much of anything that’s conventional, when it comes to their music, Nique Everything sees the band take their dirty punk/rock infuse it with both instrumentation and themes that would more likely be found in Country/Americana then rock. Blend it all up with some blackened elements and you’ve got a very raw, rough yet approachable release. The album was mixed Håkon Gebhardt (ex-Motorpsycho, Ida Jenshus) in Das Boot Studios (where it was recorded live) and mastered by Alan Douches (Converge, Kvelertak, Japandroids).
