Scotland is an angry country full of angry people doing angry things. Okay, so maybe that statement has absolutely zero merit whatsoever, but it was the best way to introduce the independent, Glasgow-based band, Northern Nightlights, who play, as they put it, “angry as fuck” pop punk.
The quintet – Robert Stewart (bass), Andrew Malcolmson (vocals/guitar), Paul McCafferty (vocals), Andrew Irvine (guitar), and Samuel Davies (drums) – came together in the Fall of 2013 and have been on a tear ever since. In their short existence, they’ve managed to release and EP, 3 singles, and have also been showcased on several compilations.
