The Wise Man’s Fear – “Castle in the Clouds” [Exclusive Premiere Album Stream]

The Skinny: Central Indiana is where you’ll find the unsigned fantasycore/metalcore quintet The Wise Man’s Fear kicking around, playing shows, and most importantly, gearing up for the imminent July 9th release of their debut full-length album, Castle in the Clouds. Well, today we have the great pleasure of offering to you, our loyal readers, an exclusive stream and first listen of this budding band’s new album… listen below!

Consisting of Paul Lierman (drums), Joe Dennis (vocals), Codi Chambers (lead guitar), Tyler Eads (bass, vox), and Nathan Kane (rhythm guitar), The Wise Man’s Fear takes their name from “a fantasy novel of the same title written by Patrick Rothfuss that chronicles the adventures of the greatest arcanist of the age. The name itself is a statement against the destructive power of pride (truly wise men are almost unfailingly so humble that they seem to fear pride and the damage it causes).”

Castle in the Clouds was recorded with producer Johnny Franck (ex-Attack Attack!, The March Ahead) and can, according to the band, they “took a very conceptual approach to writing the record…which follows the journey of the album’s protagonist, a nameless knight, as he searches for an end to his quest and, allegorically, answers to some of life’s enduring questions.” Pre-order your copy today on iTunes, Amazon, or our personal favourite, Bandcamp!
