Faith No More – “Superhero” [Song Review]
If this is the caliber of what we are to expect from Sol Invictus, May 19th truly is going to be a special day for many.
Faith No More released their last studio album back in 1997 and, after 18 long years, on May 19th fans will be rewarded for their enduring patience with the release of the group’s latest offering, Sol Invictus.
Allowing fans to wet their whistles in anticipation of what’s to come, Faith No More released their lead single “Superhero” and quite frankly, it did not disappoint! The track jumps straight into the deep end with heavy bass, thundering drums, and the signature sound of the band’s keyboard, something that is unmistakably Faith No More, and which the fans have come to know and love. Of course Mike Patton’s vocals are, per usual, pure ecstasy for the eardrums; the track’s chorus will quickly have you chanting along in unison.
If this is the caliber of what we are to expect from Sol Invictus, May 19th truly is going to be a special day for many.
