Monster Rock Orchestra (MRO), the award winning spectacle featuring a rock band, orchestra and laser show is coming to Yonge-Dundas Square on Friday May 22 at 7:00 PM.
“The show has always been a face-melting experience, and this year is even more special as we’ll play the original Star Trek theme as a tribute to Leonard Nimoy,” says Vikas Kohli, Artistic Director of MRO. “We are the Starship Enterprise of the music world, with our blazing guitar riffs and lasers as our phasers and photon torpedoes!”
Supported by Downtown Yonge BIA, Monster Rock Orchestra is the headliner of this free original production concert show, which will also feature opening acts from some of the best rock bands from Canada. This year MRO will be performing hits from and Maroon 5, Guns’n’Roses, Bon Jovi, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Michael Jackson and more.
“We are excited to welcome Monster Rock Orchestra to the Downtown Yonge neighbourhood,” says Mark Garner, Downtown Yonge BIA Executive Director and Chief Staff Officer. It is a one-of-a-kind concept, supports Canadian talent and encourages people to experience Downtown Yonge in a unique manner.”
Yonge-Dundas Square will be open to all for MRO and audiences can enjoy the concert while digging into the delicious delicacies offered by on-site food vendors.
