The Skinny: Alternative rock band Jarflower recently released their new single, “Haunted,” from their forthcoming EP, Contrast. Having shared the stage with such musical luminaries as Hellogoodbye and Dishwalla and with sold-out shows at legendary venues including The Studio at Webster Hall and Glasslands, Jarflower has set themselves apart as “one of the best American rock groups working in New York.” (Nooga)

By organizing collaborative shows and encouraging friends to form bands, Jarflower quickly invigorated the music scene at their alma mater, Fordham University, becoming campus favorites at well-attended events including Winterfest and Relay For Life. Since then, the band has continued to build a growing fanbase for their ’90s-inspired American rock style. Combining their members’ distinctive and eclectic influences that range from rock (Foo Fighters) to grunge (Soundgarden), post punk (The Gaslight Anthem), classic rock (Black Sabbath) and beyond, Jarflower “takes the best of what came out years ago and reinvents the music with their own 21st century spin, making for an unforgettable listening experience.” (
