The Skinny: Today, Los Angeles-based Gateway Drugs follow up lead-single “Friday’s Are For Suckers” with another cut from their debut LP, Magick Spells. “Head” debuted online and is streaming above via SoundCloud. The band embarks on a national tour with veteran shoegaze act Swervedriver this March.

The question that has been keeping us up at night all these years – what if Sonic Youth and The Birthday Party got together and had kids – has finally been answered… and it’s Gateway Drugs. Hailing from the dark streets of sunny Los Angeles Gabe, Noa, and Liv Niles are the real live children of The Knack’s Preston Niles. Blues Williams, a sworn in blood brother, rounds out the band.
