August Burns Red @ Irving Plaza (New York, NY) on January 23, 2015 [Photos]
Having seen ABR before, I knew that the young crowd would create a nonstop circle pit and hoist would-be surfers toward the stage.
The Skinny: Miss May I and August Burns Red, two of perhaps the most energetic metal bands to emerge in years, played to a sold out crowd at Irving Plaza. Having seen ABR before, I knew that the young crowd would create a nonstop circle pit and hoist would-be surfers toward the stage. Solid performances by Miss May I frontman Levi Benton and company, and the Jack Luhrs-led ABR, who are slowing screaming their way to the top of the metal charts.
