Recommended if you happen to dig freaking rad bands link Misery Signals, Between The Buried And Me, and Architects (UK), we’re stoked to offer you not only the world premiere of Apoapsis’ new single, “Standing Tide,” but also a FREE download! “Standing Tide” captures not only the groups’ heavy aspects, but also their progressive sound and use of dynamics and complex rhythms.
Vocalist and guitarist Drew Pinto stated: “The song takes the listener on a tour of our different musical inspirations; it includes bits and pieces of genres we love, like punk, prog metal, post-hardcore, rock, and even ambient. I always try to imbue a story into the lyrics that I write, and this was no exception – this song is a story about a man’s decision to explore the ocean, having no desire to continue his boring, day-to-day life onshore. For me, this song narrates a metaphor for how we as people often bite off more than we can chew.”
