Death metal, black metal, heavy metal, call it what you want, King Diamond played to a sold-out crowd in NY, and whatever you want to categorize his music as, plain and simple… it’s great. Diamond, who has been doing select dates, played at Best Buy Theater in Manhattan. His stage presence is memorizing as he opened to a stage set right out of an Edgar Allen Poe book. His tunes hit every mark from high pitch to low, as he kicked 14 songs including “Welcome Home” which featured, well… his grandmother. See him if you get the chance. It’s the stuff of nightmares!
