The Dirty Nil – “Cinnamon b/w Guided By Vices” [Single] [Album Review]
Cinnamon b/w Guided By Vices is the new two track release from the Canadian band, The Dirty Nil. I was turned onto these guys back in the beginning of the year when I heard “Wrestle Yü To Hüsker Dü” and have been a fan ever since.

Cinnamon b/w Guided By Vices is the new two track release from the Canadian band, The Dirty Nil. I was turned onto these guys back in the beginning of the year when I heard “Wrestle Yü To Hüsker Dü” and have been a fan ever since.
These two new songs are high-energy, dirty, punk-influenced tunes much like the aforementioned “Wrestle Yü To Hüsker Dü.” I really like the raw edginess of both tracks but much like the last single, they are both too short; with tracks songs clocking in at just over 4 minutes long, I found myself just getting into the groove when they were coming to a somewhat abrupt end.
I understand the music business is in a weird state and that bands must often release singles or EPs in order to generate cash flow, but I sure would like to see a full-length release from these guys, or at least something a bit more substantive. For now though, I am going to string together the few songs I have and get my rock on. With all of that being said, this is definitely a band worth checking out, they really do kick it!
