In this exclusive free song download, we’re pleased to introduce you to the instrumental post-rock artist known as Summon the Octopi. Titled “Apricots Apricate (Alligators Alligate)” and released on August 18th, 2014 via Sober Up Records, this song will sit very well with fans of bands such as Explosions in the Sky, Maybeshewill, and Giraffes? Giraffes. With a debut EP, Nonversations, due out on November 17th, “Apricots Apricate (Alligators Alligate)” is a first glimpse at what’s to come.
Hailing from Berlin, Germany, Marc Vogler, the artist herein known as Summon the Octopi, only recently signed with Sober Up Records. As a multifaceted musician should, Vogler writes, plays, and records all instruments on his work. As best stated by the artist’s current bio: “[Mark’s music creates] a sonic collage of buzzing abyss, delicate romance and intricate grooves that will keep you on your toes, auditorily dissecting the vast influences that acted as ingredients to this truly unique recipe. ”
