KISS @ Jones Beach Amphitheater (Wantagh, NY) on August 6, 2014 [Photos]
One of the truly amazing things about KISS is not that they perhaps do the best lighting and stage show in the business, not that they have some of the most fun songs in rock and roll history, and not that they are pushing senior citizen age (Gene is one year away), but rather that they have been doing this for 40 years. One thing is for certain though, I, and many around me at the concert at Jones Beach, were not consciously aware of their age as they belted into 15 solid songs. KISS’ stage presence is simply stunning and even without two of the original ingredients (no Peter Criss and Ace Frehley) they have still managed to make a tasty dish. Interesting fact, their lighting truck broke down on highway I95 yet their crew found another truck, loaded it and still managed to make it to set up the gig on time. Hats off to the KISS crew! They made Kisstory!
