Album Review
Julian Taylor – “Tech Noir” [Album Review]
With a smooth, sexy mix of funk and soul, Tech Noir is bit different from the music I usually review; and even though I have a penchant for the heavier side of things, I definitely can appreciate other genres.

As I mentioned, this is some chilled-out and soulful music, music that gives a healthy nod to ’70s era Motown, but is not defined by it. Tech Noir is the kind of music that makes you want to crack open a nice bottle of bubbly with that special someone and chill to the relaxing grooves created by pianos and horns; this music just seeps into your soul.
My favorite tracks are by far “Never Gonna Give You Up” and “Hurt Me,” but the record as a whole is good, and flows well from beginning to end. While this is not the kind of music that I can see myself listening to on a regular basis, I will most definitely keep it on hand as I can absolutely foresee times when Tech Noir will be the perfect backdrop for a relaxing evening of fun.
