Rock band Avenue of the Giants is helping the genre make a comeback by meticulously combining their love of ’90’s arena rock backed by three part harmonies reminiscent of Led Zepplin, Foo Fighters, and a touch of Queen. Now, the band has released their new single “Burn”.
The Skinny: Rock band Avenue of the Giants is helping the genre make a comeback by meticulously combining their love of ’90’s arena rock backed by three part harmonies reminiscent of Led Zepplin, Foo Fighters, and a touch of Queen. Now, the band has released their new single “Burn”.
Vocalist Devon Lewow describes the lead single as, “lyrically about literally wanting to watch the memory of an ex-love burn away in therapeutic fashion… “You cut a striking silhouette; it’s something so hard to forget”… It’s also about overcoming that same pain/obstacle with the mantra “the impossible IS possible if we stay in the fight.” The single will be apart of the band’s debut album Just Between Us, out September 9, 2014.
