“Down The Drain” is the latest offering, and our latest free song download, from L.A. band Raw Fabrics. The three-piece indie rock group (Jack B. Franco, Jon Fredrik and Justus Dixon) is currently playing shows around the Los Angeles area in support of this new single. The three members are all armed with the most youthful energy and exuberance you could find in a trio of 21 year old lovers of rock n’ roll. Their songs are anthemic and mix the driving bass lines of modern dance-punk bands with production most common of modern rock radio bands. With its insistent chorus and hook, “Down The Drain” sounds a little bit reminiscent of Franz Ferdinand, a band well known for their groovy hooks.
If you needed proof of music industry people believing in Raw Fabrics’ potential, then look no further to the fact that the band has been working on their latest music in England with noted producer Stephen Street at The Bunker Studios in London. Street has produced music for huge artists such as new wave band The Smiths’ final album Viva Hate, Blur’s Modern Life Is Rubbish, Parklife and self-titled release and more recently The Kaiser Chiefs. With youth on their side and even more time to develop, Raw Fabrics is certainly going places.
