We here at PureGrainAudio love LOUD music! Progressive metal for sure falls into that category so we were stoked when the band Godlike In Ruin hit us up. Based in Los Angeles, CA, this group (which consists of Dan Dooley (vocals), Jairo Estrada (guitar), Rahul Bharwani (guitar), and Richard Browning (drums)) play a sweet mix of progressive and groove-laden metal which they’ve humorously dubbed “progroosive” metal. We’ll tell you more about them but first, download and/or stream their song “The Ringmaster”.
Godlike In Ruin came into existence (with the aforementioned lineup) in 2013. At that time each of the four members were attending the Musicians Institute and had no idea they were about to embark on a bad-ass journey as band. Instantly chemistry was formed and they started writing original music, and gigging across LA. Come early Spring of 2014, Godlike In Ruin would enter Milestone Studios in Burbank, CA and record their debut EP, Reborn, with Wesley Switzer (recording, mixing) and Jamie King (mastering). And the rest, as they say, is history.
