Los Angeles three-piece band, decoded, are offering up a free download of their new track “Topanga”. The band, two girls, one guy, play what they refer to as “posh garage rock”, which I guess is kind of like garage rock, but with the twist of two hot girls playing it alongside one dude. The band is a little more than just something you’d find in a smelly old garage though. They combine elements of grunge, blues, lounge and even Native American influenced rhythm and melodies.
decoded has made some quick strides since forming only two years ago with the release of two EPs already. The/Split came in 2012 while the Topanga EP dropped last year, both of which were produced by Davey Rieley. Other recent milestones include the release of their first ever music video in March for the song “Red Handed.” They toured the Northwestern U.S. earlier this year with the major highlight being performing on the opening night of the Treefort Music Fest in Boise, Idaho.
