Ready for a new Son of Aurelius track? Of course you are. The band is pleased to bring you a brand new track, entitled “Long Ago” cut from the band’s upcoming album, Under A Western Sun. Under A Western Sun is an independent project – no crowd funding and no record label, with co-production from Zack Ohren at Castle Ultimate Studios. Under A Western Sun comes four years after the band’s breakout album, 2010’s The Farthest Reaches. The new album builds upon the basis of the band’s existing sound while boasting clear musical growth and a fairly substantial change in style.

In August of 2009, the unrelenting musical force that is Son of Aurelius was formed when the band embarked on the process of recording a crushing full-length album with Zack Ohren at Castle Ultimate Studios. The 11 song record was officially finished in September, and by April of 2010 The Farthest Reaches was released to the world. In 2011 the band ran into some problems negotiating an agreement to record a new album with their record company which led to their departure last year. Last summer Son of Aurelius finally started seriously preparing to release their sophomore record Under Under A Western Sun which has finally arrived.
