The Skinny: Weatherbox will release the new album Flies In All Directions on May 13th via Triple Crown Records / Favorite Gentlemen. A hint at what is to come from the San Diego outfit’s third full-length and first new album in half a decade can be heard in “Bring Us The Head Of Weatherbox”, the first track to be released from the album. This Spring and Summer Weatherbox will tour North America, with a string of West Coast dates already on the books and more soon to be announced. The album catalogs the years that lead up to and have followed the band’s first two albums, revealing sordid history comprised of strained friendships, setbacks, and drug induced psychosis. Many of his demons traverse the landscape on, Flies In All Directions, an eclectic, poignant and emotional triumph that continues an evolution from band’s visceral American Art to the mercurial sophomore effort The Cosmic Drama, the band’s last LP, released in 2009.
