Alternative hard rock band Eve To Adam are currently riding high off the release of their latest album, Locked & Loaded. Lead single “Immortal” is tearing up radio everywhere and the band is has been touring nonstop in support of this new record. Lucky for us, we managed to grab some time with guitarist Gaurav Bali and briefly discuss the one piece of gear he considers key! Check it out….

What one piece of gear do you use to obtain your signature sound?
Bali: I use EVH guitars and amps, but if I had to choose one piece of their gear that helps me obtain my signature sound it would have to be the EVH 5150 III 100 watt guitar head.

What about it makes it so important to you?
Bali: This amp is extremely important to me because of its versatility – it has 3 different sounds and they’re all amazing. I need many different tones to perform an Eve To Adam concert, and this amp helps me get all those sounds for whatever the particular song demands.

What are the major pros and cons?
Bali: The major pros are the versatility, reliability and affordability. I’ve rarely had any issues and they’re always something simple, such as a blown fuse. The only con so far is that not enough dealers and rental companies carry it!

How long have you had it, how do you use it, would you ever change it?
Bali: I’ve been using this amp for about 3 years and I don’t see myself making a change; it’s the heart of my sound. I’ve tried many major and boutique brands of amplifiers and this one beats them all in my opinion.

Any final thoughts or comments on the gear?
Bali: It’s an honor to be endorsed by a company that not only makes great sounding gear with practical features, but also has a great team to take care of their artists. Of course, it’s also pretty cool that the company happens to be formed by the man who inspired me to pick up a guitar in the first place!
