Dustin Mills – “Bath Salt Zombies” [DVD Review]
Bath Salt Zombies is yet another horror film from the prolific B movie producer Dustin Mills. I have been a fan of his work since I saw the Puppet Monster Massacre a few years back; it is quite amazing what he is able to do with so little in the way of finances… I only wonder what he would be capable of if he had a typical Hollywood budget. Alas that is not the case.

Alas that is not the case.
Here is the setup of Bath Salt Zombies: After a brief, informative, animated intro we are dropped into the middle of NYC where an aspiring young chemist has developed a powerful new batch of bath salts. This new derivative has garnered the attention of junkies everywhere who converge on NYC only to find out that the new batch has a fatal flaw; it converts its users into incredibly aggressive, violent flesh eating zombies.
I think gore and horror fans will dig this movie, as even though it is a low budget flick, the effects are done pretty well. The soundtrack is also worth noting and includes music from punk bands the likes of The Dwarves, The Meatmen, The Murder Junkies, and The Gaggers. All in all I think, all things considered, that this movie done well. It is violent, brutal and gory and has a decent, believable story line. Fans of underground horror movies should totally dig it.
