We’re pleased to bring you yet another exclusive FREE song download. This time around we’re hosting the new song “The Waves” by Vermont-based progressive metal band Barishi. This quintet – comprised of member Sascha Simms (vocals), Graham Brooks (guitar), Justin Elbourn (guitar), Jonathan Kelley (bass), and Dylan Blake (drums) – very recently released their new self-titled album which is chock full of dynamic moments, soaring solos, and wondrous musicianship. Check out “The Waves” above.
The new effort was recorded, mixed, and co-produced (with the band) by Brian Westbrook at DPD Recording while mastering was handled by Nick Dragoni at M-Works Mastering Studio. Slowly making a name for themselves in the New England area, Barishi has done quite well considering they form as recently as 2010 (and even then were a different incarnation as their beginnings were as an instrumental three piece know as Atlatl). That was all soon to change and the band blossomed into the intricate metal powerhouse they are today.
