The Skinny: Los Angeles, CA hard rockers Dead End Sky are set to release their upcoming self-titled album soon and boast a background heavy with some of the biggest names in hard rock and metal. The band is fronted by vocalist Kyle Zemanek, who also formerly served as vocalist for Five Finger Death Punch and Deadsett. Deadsett also featured Chris Howorth (In This Moment), Matt Snell (ex-Five Finger Death Punch), Jeff Fabb, (Filter, ex-In This Moment, James Durbin) and Travis Johnson (In This Moment). The first single “Always” can be streamed below.

The band’s sound is described as “soaring vocals backed with crushing rhythms and dark, heartfelt ballads. This is the definition of Modern Hard Rock in 2013.” Dead End Sky’s new album was mixed by acclaimed producer, mixer, and engineer Brian Virtue (30 Seconds to Mars, Chevelle, Puddle of Mudd, Jane’s Addiction, All That Remains, Shadows Fall). Dead End Sky recorded at the world famous NRG recording studio in North Hollywood with veteran engineer Josh Newell (Linkin Park, Avril Lavigne, Intronaut), and was mastered by Paul Logus (Stone Sour, Anthrax, Volbeat, Hellyeah).

Vocalist Kyle Zemanek states, “I spent the last few years writing and had around 70 songs. In late 2012, it was time to pull the trigger and put a band together. We honed in on 12 specific songs and within a few months we were in the studio recording our debut album.”

Born in 2003, V13 was a socio-political website that, in 2005, morphed into PureGrainAudio and spent 15 years developing into one of Canada's (and the world’s) leading music sites. On the eve of the site’s 15th anniversary, a full re-launch and rebrand takes us back to our roots and opens the door to a full suite of Music, Film, TV, and Cultural content.
