The March Divide is the first new musical endeavor for Jared Putnam since the dissolve of the emo-tinged rock bank The Conversation nearly six years ago. Jared debuted the first new March Divide material in the Spring of 2013 with the Music for Film LP (via Dead Letter Records), which got the attention of tastemakers like American Songwriter, Under The Radar Magazine and Austin’s NPR affiliate KUTX. Since then, Jared has spent most of his time touring behind the record, but did find time to record and release a follow up EP titled Music for Television, which came out in July on Dead Letter Records.
The band is pleased to be offering the exclusive world premiere of their latest video “Forward Thinking” right here! Jared had this to say regarding the song: “‘Forward Thinking’ is about doing something, instead of just talking about it. In this stage of my life, I feel like I know so many people that got left behind because they only talked about where they were going instead of actually fucking going. There’s always at least some personal aspect to my songs, my mistakes are mine and I’ve never denied that. We’ve all got bumps in the road, some are bigger than others, but holy fuck, just go.”
