2X4 – “Refined By Fire” [SoundCloud Song Stream]

The Skinny: Oklahoma-based posi-core quintet, 2X4, have premiered their new single “Refined By Fire” online. The track is off the anticipated second release Dark Hand, which hits shelves on July 30th! The follow-up to their smash hit Dead Days album, which appeared on the iTunes Rock and Metal charts, acquaints audiences with the bands newly cultivated, matured sound.

When asked about the inspiration and message behind “Refined By Fire”, 2X4’s vocalist Micah Hutson stated: “‘Refined by Fire’ is about realizing that the only way to progress is by acceptance. When we wrote our first CD Dead Days, I literally hated everything. A few things happened in my life over this past year, and after seeing the effects it had, it made me realize that hatred is just another chain in a person’s life.”
