The Other Tribe – “My Girl”
Though part of the same Bristol scene that has spawned Julio Bashmore and Eats Everything, The Other Tribe are fast emerging as a musical entity like no other. As comfortable tearing up a festival main stage as they are a warehouse party, their bass-heavy, deep house influenced sound has rapidly won them a growing and devoted fanbase. ‘My Girl’ is the band’s new single, it’s out 8th September via Sony’s Relentless imprint.
After kicking off their UK spring tour with a sell-out show at London’s XOYO, The Other Tribe (aka James, Miles, Ollie, Alex and Max) are poised to run riot across their favourite stomping ground – the summer festival season – with forthcoming performances at Glastonbury, Ibiza and Mallorca Rocks, Blissfields, Beatherder, Farrfest, Secret Garden Party, Boardmasters and beyond.
A recent highest new entry on the Cool Cuts chart, ‘Your Kisses’ will be available as an exclusive pre-order track for ‘My Girl’. The Other Tribe’s growing discography includes previous tracks ‘We Should Be Dancing’, ‘Sing With Your Feet’ and their debut chart hit, ‘Skirts’.
In between a hefty tour schedule, The Other Tribe have been bunkered down at their studio alongside producer Mark Ralph (Hot Natured, Hot Chip, Digitalism), distilling their hedonistic live show into the tracks that will form their debut album.
