“Katacombs” is the latest track from Steve Adamyk Band and it’s available here as a totally free download! This veteran Canadian punk band has been at it for a while now and the last couple of years have seen a lot of progress for this hard working group from the Nation’s capital. The last two years has seen SAB tour Europe twice, play the South By Southwest Festival on two different occasions along with stops at Awesome Fest and Sled Island along the way. In late 2011 the band made its first lineup change, bringing in Dave Forcier of Pregnancy Scares to take over on drums and also adding Seb Godin of Sonic Avenues on bass.

Even as some of the band members have changed, the formula has remained the same, bringing a punk edge to classic power-pop. The band’s sound could be characterized as aggressive pop-punk but keeping it tight and far from over-produced. They have just released their third record, aptly titled Third which is the group’s most solidified recording to date. While Third may be their best work, the formula has remained the same; don’t try to reinvent the wheel and stay clear of cliches. It seems to be working well so far.
