The Skinny: Dine Alone Records is proud to announce the addition of London, ON’s Single Mothers to their diverse roster in Canada. Single Mothers has made a compelling case for how red flags, stacked odds and strike outs can somehow inspire a collective recklessness to keep at it. Known for their dangerously explosive live show and the palpable tension that bleeds into their music, the band has ran through 10 members since its inception in 2008, and has broken up countless times. However, after disbanding in early 2011 the band quietly posted their final EP online. Promoted on the strength of the band’s “Christian Girls” music video, the EP sold out in weeks. The S/T EP achieved a cult following and inspired the band to reform the following year.

The last year has seen Single Mothers play countless illegal shows, a 33-date North American tour with Title Fight, opening slots for Fucked Up, Touché Amoré, Quicksand, and will soon tour the UK with The Bronx. The band will be taking a short break from touring this Winter to record their debut full-length album with The Bronx’s Joby J. Ford at his Big Game Lodge Studio in Los Angeles, California.
