Deterrence – “Good Luck Hate” [EP]

Good Luck Hate is some really heavy stuff. On this release the Canadian heavy metal/hardcore act comes out swinging with a force and intensity that is sure to jolt you into taking notice. Think The Acacia Strain with a bit more of a hardcore angle and you more or less have Deterrence. Lots of great grooves and guitar work, killer death metal-styled vocals or growls all delivered at a pace that will wreck your neck.

What about breakdowns you ask? There are breakdowns, but they do not feel obligatory like they do in so many other releases; to me they seem tastefully done and strategically placed making them effective, but not overused. This is a really good EP and fans of heavy metal in general are sure to dig the hell out of Good Luck Hate.
