Inimical Drive bring the heaviness right from the beginning of their Signal The Sirens EP. The bar was set so high I didn’t think they would be able follow through all the way till the end; man was I wrong. Their sound is a unique blending of hard rock and metal that consists mostly of mid-tempo, down-tuned guitars combined with powerful and passionate screaming vocals alongside a fair amount of melodic clean vocals.

Their sound’s intensity is unbelievable; this is some powerful stuff. This said, the EP is pretty solid. The genre as we know is extremely overcrowded with tons generic cookie cutter acts, and while I don’t feel Inimical Drive have reinvented the wheel by any means, I do think if given the chance, they will stand out from a majority of the crowd. Give this one a spin, it’s pretty good.
