West of Hell – “Singularity” [Exclusive Song Stream Premiere]

This Vancouver, BC quartet featuring lung-master Chris “The Heathen” Valagao is on the verge of devastating the Canadian metal scene with the May 8th release of their debut album, Spiral Empire. To be released via Reversed Records, the disc was recorded in Vancouver at The Factory Studios and was produced by Juno Award winning engineer Rob Shallcross (Strapping Young Lad, GWAR, Zimmers Hole, Fear Factory). The end result is an awesome album that skillfully combines huge amounts of old-school metal influences with a more modern day approach. Check out this exclusive stream of their new song “Singularity”.

Rounded out by guitarists Sean Parkinson and Jordan Knute, bassist Jordan Kemp and Andrew Hulme on drums, West of Hell first began in West Auckland, New Zealand when Ivan Andrew came together in 2002. They would continue to add members from there, all-the-while honing their chops and creating new, unique music. It wasn’t until 2009 after ample searching and relocating to Vancouver that the band would find their ideal front man in Chris. Ultimately this last edition was exactly what West of Hell needed and since then, the line-up has been rock solid. We anticipate only good things for this band in the future!
