The British Columbians – “Broke & Busted” [Song Stream]

One of Canada’s fast-rising rock talents is the Vancouver group The British Columbians. The band dropped their sophomore effort, and follow-up to their 2009 self-titled debut, Made For Darker Things, on the 13th of this past September to much positive praise from Canadian music press. The new tracks are teeming with modern rock and folk, all riddled with old-school blues influences. Want to hear what all the hubbub is about? Then check out the stream of the new song “Broke & Busted”. Maybe you’ll then get why in 2009 during the Zune Concert Series Competition, The British Columbians were called “Canada’s Best Undiscovered Band”.

These band have already played with renowned acts like Broken Social Scene, Our Lady Peace, Plants & Animals and Band of Skulls, and just came off a small March tour wherein they played at this year’s Canadian Music Week during the Music BC showcase on Friday, March 23rd. If that isn’t enough, the guys also scored a slot opening for none other than The Sheepdogs on the closing day of the 2012 TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival in Whistler, BC on Sunday, April 22. Be sure to check them out.
