The Skinny: This free download of the song “Mad Hatter” comes courtesy of the Los Angeles, California band Side/winders. As the debut single from their brand new EP, Drugloops, the rock and hip-hop infused track features a beautiful mix of musical elements ranging from clean keys and strumming guitars to funky beats and simultaneously harmonious and dueling vocals via co-singers Ryan White and Lillard Anthony.

Currently gigging in and around the LA area, Side/winders are planning a Spring tour in hopes to bring their madness to the masses; and seeing as how they don’t really sound like anyone else, this shouldn’t be too daunting of a task. White comments on his collaboration with Anthony: “I never expected to gel with Lillard as well as I have, and it’s been one of the most creatively conducive and fulfilling musical experiences of my life.” We don’t disagree, the end result is truly ear-pleasing.
