The Skinny: By way of Torino, Italy, the experimental group Niagara released their self-titled EP on February 21st via Monotreme Records. For those of you that don’t know, ‘Niagara’ is a 1953 film noir and tense thriller that features Marilyn Monroe. Monroe plays a woman named Rose who, with her lover plans, to murder her husband George (Joseph Cotton) while on a trip to the famed Niagara Falls. The music and unofficial soundtrack this trio ultimately concocted is a wondrous mix of sounds and melodies that is equally catchy as it is confusing. The songs’ surreal vibes continue throughout the record and “Pacmen” is no exception. Check out this small portion of what is an excellent collection.
