Heavy Manic Souls – “Juggernaut (Fury Road)” [Song Stream]
As is instantly evident in the song “Juggernaut (Fury Road)” by Les Sables d’Olonnes, France locals Heavy Manic Souls, the music features a cool mix of rock and blues with hints of psychedelic. The band came together in September of 2009 and within two months already had a first, Fernando Cavazos-mastered (Pigsound studio Los Angeles) CD out the door – amazingly it was recorded live and made in just five days.
The Skinny: As is instantly evident in the song “Juggernaut (Fury Road)” by Les Sables d’Olonnes, France locals Heavy Manic Souls, the music features a cool mix of rock and blues with hints of psychedelic. Unavoidably funky and refreshing, the new songs were picked up by radio all over while lead single, “Juggernaut (Fury Road)” was selected by Southern Californian label 272 Records for one of their compilation releases. Due to line-up changes, touring was unfortunately halted; however the band (currently a two piece) is moving steadily forward and now rehearsing new material in preparation of their second record which should this time around even include some punk elements.
