Seattle-based duo Lux are gearing up to release their debut album We Are Not The Same on April 3rd. Thankfully they’re are also offering the lead-off single “The Window” for free download. Teaming with fuzzy guitars, vocal duets and synthy elements, Lux offer a nifty combo of indie and shoegaze. Citing influcens such as Velvet Underground, Magnetic Fields and Jesus & Mary Chain it’s hard to avoid this fresh sonic sensation.

We Are Not The Same is an impressive first offering and one which the twosome wrote, recorded and mixed themselves. Through this DIY approach and constant self-promotion the band began amassing a substantial following. Now as it’s time to begin gigging and sharing their beautiful music, Lux finds themselves in a bit of a quandary – they’ve never played live! “Really, we just haven’t got around to it yet,” says Chandler. “We were actually offered a tour of Europe, but decided to focus on recording the album instead.”
