What one piece of gear do you use to obtain your signature sound?
Ian: My favourite piece of gear that I’m using right now is my brand new custom made drums from Yamaha. They sound killer in the studio and live.

What about it makes it so important to you?
Ian: The coolest thing about them is that they glow in the dark! They are made using a special paint called illuminescent white sparkle. Under regular lights they look white and shine cause of the embedded sparkles and when the lights go out, BAM!

What are the major pros and cons?
Ian: For all those fellow drum dorks out there, the drums themselves are a hybrid mix, the kick and snare are made of maple and the toms are all birch. These drums sound huge and cut through anything, they sound amazing!
