Gear Review: Diecast drummer Dennis Pavia on his Zildjian A Custom Cymbals

We first heard drummer Dennis Pavia perform with Diecast on the album Internal Revolution (out via Century Media Records). Fortunately for us, he recently gave PureGrainAudio some time to talk about his Zildjian A Custom Cymbals. Read the interview below.

What one piece of equipment do you use to obtain your signature sound?
Dennis: Zildjian A Custom Cymbals.

What about it makes it so important to you?
Dennis: These cymbals deliver the highest quality sound while remaining durable for the punishment i give them at every show.

What are the major pros and cons?
Dennis: Pros: durable, lots of sustain, crisp clean sound. Cons: none.

How long have you used this piece of equipment and would you ever change it?
Dennis: I’ve used Zildjian cymbals for over 15 years, and there is no way i would play anything else.

Any final thoughts or comments on the gear?
Dennis: These cymbals survive tour after tour after tour! they are great for a hard hitting player and sound awesome.
