deadmau5 Confirmed to Perform on the GRAMMYs This Sunday, February 12 [News]The Recording Academy has announced today electronic music producer deadmau5 (pronounced ‘dead mouse’) will perform on the 54th Annual GRAMMY® Awards telecast this Sunday, February 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. He will join Foo Fighters, David Guetta, Chris Brown and Lil Wayne for a special performance, marking the first-time ever electronic music will be spotlighted on the show. The producer and performer is nominated for three GRAMMY Awards including Best Dance/Electronica Album for his critically acclaimed LP 4×4=12 (Ultra Music), Best Dance Recording for “Raise Your Weapon” with Greta Svabo Bech and Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical for his stellar remix of the Foo Fighters’ “Rope.”

In addition, deadmau5’s MEOWINGTONS HAX 2K11 TORONTO DVD is released today, February 7 on Ultra Music. FUSE, the national music television network of The Madison Square Garden Company, will air the world premiere of MEOWINGTONS HAX 2K11 TORONTO, the same day as the DVD release. deadmau5 fans can tune-in tonight, Tuesday, February 7 at 8:30pm ET to see the show air exclusively on FUSE.

The Canadian, platinum-selling, independent artist made history on November 5, 2011, when he became the first Canadian artist as well as the first electronic artist to have a headlining concert at Toronto’s Rogers Centre, marking the last stop of his record-breaking Meowingtons Hax North American tour. Following his GRAMMY performance the night of Sunday, February 12, deadmau5 will join Rihanna, Calvin Harris and Sebastian Ingrosso of Swedish House Mafia at the House Of Blues in Los Angeles for the Three Six Zero Group and Roc Nation charity concert. All proceeds from this once-in-a-lifetime event will benefit the Children’s Orthopaedic Center and The Mark Taper–Johnny Mercer Artists Program at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
