The Dead Lay Waiting – “Look At Us Now” [World Exclusive Song Stream]
Swindon, UK natives and 5-piece aural assault, The Dead Lay Waiting (TDLW), started writing music together as recently as 2007. Through constant practice and by earning their stripes in the UK’s underground rock scene, it didn’t take long for the band to be making a name for themselves.
The Skinny: Swindon, UK natives and 5-piece aural assault, The Dead Lay Waiting (TDLW), started writing music together as recently as 2007. Through constant practice and by earning their stripes in the UK’s underground rock scene, it didn’t take long for the band to be making a name for themselves.
Late in 2007 TDLW released their first EP, Memories Of A Massacre, quickly followed by a self-titled EP in early 2008. In August of that same year the group was asked to play the Bloodstock Open Air festival, after which they inked a deal with UK label Rising Records (who released TDLW’s debut album We Rise January 2010).
As their fan base and overall hype surrounding the metallers grows, so does the number of tour dates, time on the road and promotions. Earlier in 2011 TDLW were even nominated for two prestigious awards: “Best British Newcomer Band” via Kerrang Magazine and “Best Underground Band” by Metal Hammer, both of which happened to coincide with the release of their sophomore effort, Almost Heaven. This all said, watch out for this great new act and enjoy a stream of their pummeling song “Look At Us Now”!
