Album Review
Truth Corroded – “Worship The Bled”
Though Australia may be a long distance from Canada, Truth Corroded’s raging sounds cannot be contained within their native land and have spilled over worldwide. With Worship The Bled, these Ozzys have released their biggest offering to date, one which gained international distribution. With this new record the group has shown the world that bands like AC/DC and Airbourne are not the island’s heaviest acts.

With Worship The Bled, these Ozzys have released their biggest offering to date, one which gained international distribution. With this new record the group has shown the world that bands like AC/DC and Airbourne are not the island’s heaviest acts.
As the album begins you’re greeted with a tribal noise which then grows in volume until Truth Corroded abruptly comes in with heavy instrumentals. This then leads into the first track “Knives Of The Betrayed” which just slays the listener. Truth Corroded are extreme to the max as they thrash through every track and vocalist Jason North shouts his lungs out.
In the absence of a regular drummer, for this release Truth Corroded has invited Kevin Talley (Daath, Chimaira, Misery Index, Dying Fetus) to smash the skins for the band and he certainly adds to the music’s intensity (check out “Pride Of Demise” below for a taste). Australia can definitely get overlooked when we think of intense metal. But with this release I’m definitely keeping a better eye out for new talent from down under.
