All Else Fails are currently rocking out in support of their latest album The Oracle: What Was, Is, And Could Have Been released on Suicidal Bride Records. Guitarist and vocalist Barret Klesko gave PureGrainAudio some of this time to discuss his use of the Line 6 Vetta HD. Read on to learn more about this piece of gear.

What one piece of equipment do you use to obtain your signature sound?
Barret: That would have to be my Line 6 Vetta HD. I use a handful of modded guitars, but it really comes down to the tone out my head for me.

What about it makes it so important to you?
Barret: We use a lot of line 6 gear on our recordings, so this was pretty much a no brainer for me to include in my live rig. It allows me to re-create our album sounds pretty much exactly.

What are the major pros and cons?
Barret: Pros: top of the line amp and effects models mean that the sky is pretty much the limit as far as tone. Cons: no user friendly in any sense, a few years old now and is missing a few key effects like a smart shifter.

How long have you used this piece of equipment and would you ever change it?
Barret: I have been using it for about 3 years now, and the only way I’ll get rid of it is if they ever put out the Vetta III!

Any final thoughts or comments on the gear?
Barret: It’s sad to see line 6 putting out so many lackluster products (the Spider amps), and cutting support to the higher end products like the Vetta line.
